After having received very good feedback from our network and from the audience we are writing for (thanks!), we decided to continue our blog entirely in English.
Why?
- As we all work in an international setting (and the official language in our company is English anyway, with people coming from four continents), we considered it impolite to exclude a part of our colleagues.
- The product we are currently developing (still in stealth mode – more news to come in a few weeks) is targeting an international audience, and German is just not the prime language of the Internet…
- Additionally, we found much more inspiration, interesting and relevant news on international sites. As we intend to blog in a professional environment, we felt to have a better selection by going international.
Sounds logical. What about the downside?
Well, most of the people blogging here are not native speaker. Therefore, if you are looking for a role model blog in english grammar, this might not be your first choice. Any feedback is welcome!
